Tata Motors has finally unveiled the much-anticipated Punch today in the Indian market. The micro-SUV can now be booked at a token amount of Rs 21000. Interested buyers can contact the authorized Tata dealership for the same. We can expect the SUV to fall in the range of Rs 5.50 lakh - Rs 8 lakhs (ex-showroom). The all-new SUV is offered in a total of four variants namely Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative.
Dimensionally, the SUV stands at 3840mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1635mm in height. It further comes with a 2450mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 187mm. In terms of design, the Punch features projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED taillamps, auto fold ORVMs, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 360L boot space, faux roof rails, among many others.
The cabin of the all-new Punch is quite spacious. It boasts of more than 25 utility spaces. The entry-level Pure trim gets features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, central locking with key, tilt steering, front power windows, LED indicators, painted bumpers, engine start/stop button. The Adventure trim gets additional features like a floating 4-inch infotainment unit, an audio system with 4 speakers, rear power windows, steering mounted controls, follow me home headlamps, full wheel covers, a USB charging socket, and electric adjustable wing mirrors. The Accomplished variant, on the other hand. Comes packed with a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit with Android Auto & Apple Carplay connectivity, keyless go, fog lamps, a rear view camera, 15-inch stylised steel wheels, and cruise control. The top-end Creative trim gets features from the Accomplished variant. In addition to that, it further gets a 7.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, automatic climate control, a rear wiper & washer, and puddle lamps.
Besides these, Tata Punch will be offered with customization packs. The Pure and Adventure trims will be offered with a Rhythm Pack. The Accomplished and Creative trims, on the other hand, will be offered with Dazzle and IRA packs respectively.
Performance-wise, the Punch comes packed with a new-gen 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine with Dynapro technology. The engine further churns out a top power of 85 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 6.5 seconds. In addition, the SUV comes equipped with an automatic start/stop feature to aid fuel efficiency. The AMT gearbox will feature traction modes.
Tata Punch: Color Options
The micro-SUV will be sold in a total of seven color options namely Orcus White, Atomic Orange, Daytona Grey, Meteor Bronze, Calypso Red, Tropical Mist, and Tornado Blue.
