Audi e-tron GT has finally made its world premiere amidst much fanfare across the globe. It has been offered in two trim levels: S and RS. The e-tron GT can be expected to hit the Indian roads by the end of 2021 while locking horns with Porsche Taycan. Audi has already announced that the e-tron SUV will be its first all-electric vehicle to be launched in India. The high-performance RS trim gets several mechanical enhancements over the standard S variant. Audi e-tron GT price is expected to be around Rs 1.50 Crore (Ex. Showroom).

Design-wise, Audi e-tron GT resembles a lot to the Concept version which was showcased at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. The stance and proportions are identical alongside the sloping roofline, wider shoulder line and low bonnet. It flaunts the Audi signature single-frame grille and LED Matrix headlamps upfront while the wheel size ranges between 19-21 inches. Inside the cabin, there is a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology. The cabin boasts of wool-like Kaskade upholstery along with an all digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster and physical buttons for the automatic AC. One can also opt for a 16-speaker, 710W Bang & Olufsen sound system as option.

Audi e-tron GT will have an electric motor mounted at each axle. The motor at the front axle will deliver a top power of 238bhp while the motor at the rear axle will generate 435bhp. The maximum power output will be 475bhp which can be further extended to 530bhp by using the launch control function. The torque performance remains the same at 630Nm. The transmission duties are held by a 2-speed unit for the rear motor while an all-wheel-drive system is also available as standard. The 85kWh electric battery will give it a driving range of approx 488 kms. As for Audi RS e-tron GT, it will have a total power output of 598bhp and highest torque performance of 830Nm. The power further goes upto 646bhp using the Boost mode.
