Audi has launched its New A5 Sportback, A5 Cabriolet and S5 Sportback at ₹54.02 lakh, ₹67.51 lakh and ₹70.60 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The A5 Sportback and Cabriolet use the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel mill. The engine produces 190hp and 400Nm and is mated to the same seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Sportback, however, only comes with front-wheel-drive and the Cabriolet features the company’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
The new range-topping S5 Sportback uses a 3.0-litre, turbo-petrol, V6 motor that makes 354hp and 500Nm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox which transmits power to all four wheels. Engine start-stop is standard on both the 2.0-litre diesel and the 3.0-litre petrol motors.
On the inside, there’s a new sporty three-spoke steering wheel, black wood-trim in the cabin (faux aluminium in the S5), the MMI Touch infotainment system, a Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster as standard. While, a 755W Bang and Olufsen sound system and Audi’s smartphone integration suite with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are optional extras. The Sportback version comes with an optional sunroof.
