Yezdi Instagram Handle Spotted, Brand To Make Comeback Soon?

Jawa Motorcycle made a comeback in the Indian market last year after a long period of time. The brand was brought back to the Indian market by Classic Legends, a brand wherein Mahindra and Mahindra also has a stake. Now while the Jawa motorcycles are already plying on the streets of India, Classic Legends had also stated at the time of the launch of Jawa motorcycles that the brand Yezdi will also make a comeback in the Indian market. Now the same appears to be materializing.

The hawk-eyed users of social media seem to have found a new Instagram page which describes itself as the official Instagram page of Yezdi motorcycles. The page carries the name of YezdiOfficial and it has a solitary picture at this point. The page also carries the link to the self-proclaimed official website of the Yezdi motorcycles brand in India. Although, there is no solid news on the launch or even entry of the Yezdi motorcycle brand in the Indian market as of now. This new page sure seems to have piqued the interest of the fans of the old-school brand in India. The brand itself has not stated anything in official capacity at this point, however, considering that the grand auto even by the name of Auto Expo 2020 is just a few months away, the company may have started the exercise of building interest around the Yezdi brand. So one cannot rule out a few surprises by the Classic Legends in the Indian market.

Back in the day the Yezdi brand had many classic bikes under its range in the Indian market. These models included Road King, Oil King, Classic, CL-II, Monarch, Deluxe, 350 and 175. These bikes not only gave a tough time to the Royal Enfield in the Indian market, they were also considered a faster and lighter option for RE bikes in the Indian market. Given that the current generation of customers is very much interested in the retro looking options in the market, it would not be wrong to assume that the Yezdi brand, if brought to Indian again, will surely find a lot of takers. Classic Legends already has the rights to use Jawa, BSA, and Yezdi brands in India and a few other Asian markets.

The Jawa bikes in the Indian market already come with a Mahindra Mojo derived engine in the Indian market. So the maker can go for a similar if not the same engine configuration with altered body types and bring out the Yezdi branded bikes in Indian market. The part sharing between the Jawa and Yezdi bikes will also help keep both the brand very affordable in the Indian market, something that the Jawa and Yezdi were known for in the older days.
