Renault India launched the 2022 Kwid at a starting price of Rs 4.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). The hatchback gets a new RXL(O) variant on both the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre MT versions. Design-wise, the 2022 Renault Kwid features silver streak LED DRLs, dual-tone flex wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and many more.

The cabin of the new Kwid boasts of a plethora of first-in-class features. These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, Apple Carplay & Android Auto connectivity, seatbelt reminder, voice recognition, video playback, and many more. The safety kit consists of dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, over speed alert, driver side pyro, and pre-tensioner with load limiter. Besides these, the new hatchback comes with a 2 year/50,000 km manufacturer warranty with an extension option of up to 5 years along with an Easy care package for maintenance needs.
The 2022 Renault Kwid Climber Edition is offered in new color options namely Metal Mustard and Ice cool White with a Black roof. The hatchback is also available in two monotone paint shades - Moonlight Silver and Zanskar Blue. Moving on, the hatch will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Datsun Redi-Go, and Hyundai Santro.
Performance-wise, the 2022 Kwid is offered with two petrol engine options. The 0.8-litre unit churns out a top power of 52 bhp and a peak torque of 73 Nm. The 1.0-litre motor, on the other hand, generates 66 bhp power and 90 Nm peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
