KTM is putting no stops in expanding its growth with a slew of new launches this year. The manufacturer is now gearing to unleash the 2021 KTM Duke 125 in the domestic market. Since its launch in 2018, KTM Duke 125 has been one of the bestselling models in the country. The bike is believed to have started arriving at dealerships ahead of a possible launch by this year-end. Thanks to our friend at MRD Vlogs, we have come across the KTM Duke 125 in a new avatar. The biggest takeaway is its refreshing design, it is infact inspired by the elder 200 Duke sibling. Bookings for the two-wheeler are open at selected dealerships. In comparison to the current model, the 2021 KTM Duke 125 price will be slightly more expensive. Expect the prices to be hiked within the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 due to the design and styling updates. The current price of 2020 KTM Duke 125 stands at Rs 1.42 lakh (ex-showroom), India. 




The bike will be based on KTM’s steel trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe that underpins the Duke 200 model currently on sale in India. 2021 KTM Duke 125 design is based on the company’s new signature design. It outlook is heavily influenced by powerful Duke 200. Thus the headlight comes in a new design and looks quite sharper in comparison to the current model. Other key design updates are seen in the tail section, fuel tank and tank extensions. The fuel tank capacity of the motorcycle has also been increases from 10.2-litres to 13.5-litres. The entry-level streetfighter will come with a couple of new colour schemes. Also, the LCD screen available on the bike is borrowed from the 200 Duke.





Mechanically, its powertrain remains the same as before with the bike being powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The bike will deliver 14.74 bhp of power output and 12 Nm of peak torque. The powerplant will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. While the bike's kerb weight has been increased by almost 11 kgs in comparison to the present one. The suspension system, wheels and brakes all remain the same as the current model.
