2020 Toyota GR Supra revealed which is in its fifth generation now and is all-new. Based on the new BMW Z4 platform, the new Supra shares a lot with the German roadster. The exterior styling is muscular and very sporty. It has got huge front airdams, unique headlight design, a sporty roofline, swanky alloy wheels and a very edgy tail design inspired from Lexus.
Powering the new Toyota GR Supra is a BMW sourced 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of 340 PS with a peak torque of 494 Nm. Mated to this engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/hr of acceleration is achievable in 4.1 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/hr.
Toyota is expected to introduce smaller 2.0-litre petrol engines in some markets. The interior of the sports car looks sporty and sleek with some inspiration from the BMW such as the infotainment system and the centre console.
