Maruti Suzuki had launched the 2020 Dzire facelift at a starting price of Rs 5.89 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. It has been introduced in a total of seven variants: LXi, VXi, VXi AGS, ZXi, ZXi AGS, ZXi+ and ZXi+ AGS. The new sedan comes with upgraded exteriors and new features while there are also a few subtle mechanical updates as well. Maruti DZire will take on the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire and Volkswagen Ameo in the Indian market.
The 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift flaunts a revised front fascia with the premium single aperture grille and a redesigned bumper with chrome accents. In addition to the existing colour options offered, the new sedan will be available in two new colours, Premium Silver and Phoenix Red. It gets new modern wood finish ornaments on the doors and instrument panels with natural gloss finish while getting a new twin pod meter cluster and 10.67cm multi information coloured TFT. Some of the salient features include cruise control, auto foldable ORVMs with Key sync and a new 17.78cm Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system which combines smartphone, vehicle and cloud-based services to offer news feed, latest weather updates and live traffic updates.
As for safety features, the 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift boasts of dual airbags, pre-tensioner force limiter seat belts, ISOFIX (child seat restraint system) and ABS with EBD as standard. In addition, all the automatic (AGS) variants get Electronic stability program with hill hold assist as standard fitment. Underpinning the fifth-gen HEARTECT architecture, the new 2020 Dzire complies with frontal offset, side impact and pedestrian regulations. Under the hood, it has the BS6 compliant next-gen 1.2L K-series Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine which comes with segment-first idle start-stop function. It develops increased power output of 88.5bhp at 6000rpm while available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
