2020 Mahindra Bolero Facelift BS6

We brought you the first exclusive images of the 2020 Mahindra Bolero BS6 facelift a couple of weeks back from a dealership in Rajasthan. The dealers had unofficially started taking orders for the updated SUV while demo units had also reached the company outlets. Now, Mahindra Bolero BS6 price has also been revealed which starts at Rs 7.98 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The BS6 model hasn't received any price hike for the time being as compared to the BS4 models but it is expected to get premium by around Rs 70000 in the due course of time.

The 2020 Bolero facelift comes with changed variant nomenclature in three trims: B4, B6 and B6 (O). The mid-level B6 variant costs Rs 8.64 Lakhs while the range-topping B6 (O) attracts a price of Rs 8.99 Lakhs. As for the cosmetic updates, the SUV flaunts a revised front fascia with new bumper, headlamp design and grille. It is also compliant with the latest crash test norms that came into effect last year. Most importantly, it also complies with the pedestrian safety norms which will debut in October this year. The 2020 Mahindra Bolero facelift becomes the first vehicle in the Indian market to come with metallic bumpers in order to comply with the upcoming pedestrian safety norms.

While the cabin has been entirely retained from the ongoing SUV, the top-end variants do get static bending headlamps as a standard feature. Under the hood, it has a BS6 compliant 1.5L 3-cylinder mHawk75 diesel engine which develops top power of 75bhp while mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Sadly, there is no four-wheel-drive system on offer even as optional. Mahindra has refrained from commencing the promotional activities for the new SUV due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and these are likely to begin once the situation normalizes. The company is also expected to announce the pricing for the BS6 Mahindra XUV500 and BS6 Mahindra Scorpio in next few days.
