Coronavirus outbreak has taken a toll on the whole world recently. Like other businesses, it has also had an adverse effect on the Automotive Industry, leading to the cancelation of numerous launches and Auto shows. The 2020 Detroit Auto Show, scheduled for June this year has also been canceled due to the same reason. The Auto Show venue will be converted into a temporary field hospital to treat the Coronavirus affected patients.

The Detriot Auto Show is officially known as the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). One of the oldest and most prestigious Auto Shows in the world, it is always held in the month of January. This year for the first time, it was scheduled to be held in the month of June with an aim to include outdoor events, test drives, and other activities along with the exhibition. But due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the show has again been canceled.

This Motorshow has always been held at the TFC Center, formerly known as Cobo Center, for a decade now. More than 100 convention centers and facilities around the country are being considered to serve as temporary hospitals for treating the COVID-19 pandemic. The TFC Centre will be an inevitable option to serve as a care facility to satisfy our community’s urgent health needs.

The Coronavirus has already forced organizers to cancel various other Auto Show this year. The Geneva Motor Show was all set to be held in Switzerland earlier this year, but due to the outbreak, it got canceled. The next scheduled Auto Show was the New York International Auto Show. Earlier going to held in April, it to has been shifted to August this year.
