The latest we have learnt is that Tata Safari waiting period has gone upto 45 days. Upon further enquiry, it was observed that the top-end XZA+ and Adventure Persona edition were in higher demand as compared to the other variants. Tata Safari price starts at Rs 14.69 Lakhs and goes as high as Rs 21.45 Lakhs for the range-topping variant. Both the prices are Ex. Showroom, Delhi.

Tata Safari XZA+ comes loaded with a myriad of modern and up-market features in the form of Xenon HID projector headlamps, six-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, electronic parking brake with auto hold, panoramic sunroof, six airbags, Terrain Response Modes, JBL audio system with 9-Speakers and Amplifier, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. The Adventure Persona Edition comes with identical features except that it has a distinguished identity visually due to a few subtle cosmetic updates such as the Tropical Mist paint scheme, piano black finish on front grille and roof rails, Charcoal Grey colored alloy wheels & rear skid plates, and Earthy Brown leatherette upholstery.

Mechanically, the 2021 Safari is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged Kryotech diesel engine which develops a top power of 170bhp. The engine is available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission while it misses out on the 4x4 drive system. Tata Safari rivals in the Indian market are Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus. Though, Hyundai is also entering the 7-seater SUV segment with the all-new Alcazar which will be launched in the next couple of months. Being based on the highly successful Creta SUV, Hyundai Alcazar will have three rows of seating while available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. As you can see, the competition is surely getting heated up gradually!
