  • Skoda Slavia will be offered with two petrol engines

Skoda Slavia will be making its world premiere on November 18, 2021 in India. Being the third model under Volkswagen Group's India 2.0 project after Kushaq and Taigun, it will be a replacement for the Rapid sedan in the Indian market. Skoda Slavia is expected to go on sale in the first quarter of 2022 while challenging the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna in the country. Recently, the European brand released the dimensions and engine specifications of the upcoming sedan while features are not disclosed as of now.

Skoda Slavia will be substantially bigger than the outgoing Rapid sedan in terms of length, width and height. It measures over 4.5 metres in length while the wheelbase stands at 2651mm which is again highest in the segment. Moreover, with a width of 1752mm, it will also be the widest car in its segment. Some key features that we expect are going to be offered with the Slavia sedan are six airbags, a digital instrument cluster, multi-collision brake, cruise control and reverse parking camera. Although the sedan has already been tested by the Global NCAP, the safety rating has still not been out. Skoda Slavia price is expected to start at Rs 10 Lakhs while going as high as Rs 16 Lakhs for the range-topping model.
