Ray-Z
Targeted at female riders as the “Ray”, the Yamaha Ray-Z is a fairly successful scooter in the Indian market launched in May 2012. Yamaha launched the Ray-Z in a more masculine appeal in order to capture greater share of the market.
The scooter carries some restyled bits and loud graphics but mechanically remains the same. The Ray-Z features aluminium grab rails, carbon fibre patterned seat, new instrument panel, and a smoked finished visor. The rear houses a stylish tail light assembly with clear lens indicators while the front features a V-shaped headlight. The under seat storage capacity is 15.5 litres which is spacious enough to store a full-face helmet. The floorboard also has enough space for a heighted person. The competitors of the Ray-Z are the Honda Activa 3G, Yamaha Jupiter 110, Hero Maestro 110, Honda Activa-I, Yamaha Fascino, and Hero Duet 110 VX.
Yamaha Ray-Z is available in the shades of Black Thunder, True Blue, Regal Red, Pristine White, and Green Rage.
