Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is a very important car for the homegrown automaker as it has been the best-selling model since it was launched in the country. The prices of the Hatchback start at Rs 2.49 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Moreover, the Alto 800 is available in eight trendy colours – Absolute Black, Auburn Brown, Mojito Green, Blazing Red, Silky Silver, Cerulean Blue, Granite Grey and Superior White.

Under the hood, Used Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 comes fitted with a 3-cylinder, 0.8-litre engine that produces 48 PS of maximum power while churning out 69 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated with a 5-speed gearbox. The petrol-powered versions of the Alto 800 deliver a remarkable fuel efficiency figure of 22.74 kmpl while the CNG-powered ones come with an ARAI-tested fuel mileage figure of 30.46 km/kg. It has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres.

The interior of the Alto 800 carries the basic set of features, as it is the company’s offering in the entry-level car segment. The seats are good and comfortable, and offer better headroom than the original Alto. The cabin can accommodate five adults, however, it will be a more comfortable seating in case of four persons. The quality of the seat fabric and plastics on the dashboard show the cost-cutting strategy of the Indian auto giant. It gets a boot space of 177-litres that can help in storing luggage for short distance travel.

From the outside, it gets a refreshed look, however, it is fully based on the original Maruti Alto. From the side, the new Alto 800 looks like a typical Maruti Suzuki with flared arches and noteworthy straight shoulder line. It gets a more contemporary design that flaunts funky-looking headlamps. The new Alto 800 also features fog lamps.
