Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been a top seller since it’s launch in 2016 and the company unveiled the facelifted version in the petrol avatar at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2020. Bookings had already commenced post the Auto Expo 2020 and it goes on sale from today onwards at the authorized Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country. The new 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza is introduced with a BS VI compliant petrol engine while price starts at Rs 7.35 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The base variant starts from Rs 7.35 Lakhs and goes all the way to Rs. 11.40 lakh for the top-end variant. The diesel variants have been discontinued for now while the facelifted SUV will be only available in petrol fuel trim.

The 2020 Vitara Brezza Facelift is powered by the K15B 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine with the SmartHybrid technology. The engine will be offered either with a 5-speed manual transmission or the option of a 4-speed automatic torque converter unit. The engine generates a maximum power of  103bhp and 138Nm of peak torque. The catch is that the SmartHybrid Mild-hybrid technology is only offered with the Automatic variant of Vitara Brezza facelift petrol. Maruti Vitara Brezza will deliver an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 17.03kmpl with the manual gearbox and 18.76kmpl with the automatic transmission with a fuel tank capacity of 48 litres.

There are some minor updates on the way like updated chrome front grille, revamped front bumper with the redesigned fog lamp housing, updated LED projector headlamps, new 5-twin-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels etc. to mention a few. Further changes are visible like the dual-tone paint scheme with either a white or black finished roof, revamped rear bumper and a new LED’s design on the tail-lamps. Interior changes are handful with the dashboard design untouched and existing all-black cabin continued from old model but Maruti Vitara Brezza Facelift Petrol comes equipped with the latest 17.78 cm SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Maruti Vitara Brezza Facelift Petrol is expected to compete against Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport, and Tata Nexon
