Triumph Motorcycles India has implemented a price hike on its entry-level Scrambler 400X and Speed 400 motorcycles. Both new models have now become expensive by up to INR 1,500. In the Indian market, the 2024 Triumph Speed 400 is now available at a price of INR 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the 2024 Scrambler 400X is now priced at INR 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Since their official debut in the market, the British bike maker has received a lot of praise for the Scrambler 400X and Speed 400 models. The bikes take design cues from bigger motorcycles sold by the brand. The Scrambler 400X takes inspiration from the Scrambler 900, while the Speed 400 is based on the Speed Twin.

The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X are powered by a new 399-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. The engine can churn out 39.5 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and features an assist-and-slip clutch. The Triumph Speed 400 is a road-biased model, and it rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, the Scrambler 400 rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. The Triumph Scrambler also comes with a longer travel suspension setup, a twin barrel exhaust, a bigger 320 mm disc brake, a headlamp protector, knuckle guards, and block-pattern tyres.

Both Triumph motorcycles come loaded with features like a semi-digital instrument console, all-LED lighting, switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, USB charging, and more. The Scrambler 400X and Speed 400 are built in Pune by Bajaj Auto. Apart from India, the auto giant also retails these models in global markets. Triumph is also likely to launch the third 400-cc in India later this year. The new model was spotted testing on Indian roads last year.
