Maruti Suzuki had unveiled the 2020 Vitara Brezza facelift at the recently concluded Auto Expo. Now, it has been rumored that the updated SUV with BS 6 engine will be officially launched in a couple of weeks in the Indian market. However, prior to the launch, 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift variants and features have been revealed. The bookings have also commenced at Maruti Suzuki dealerships. Lets have a detailed look at the variants and features of the new SUV:
The entry-level Lxi variant will feature top-notch safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder system, high speed alert system etc. as standard. The exterior features will include halogen headlamps (LED units missing), body-colored ORVMs, and a LED tail-lamp cluster. The cabin will boast of a fabric upholstery and an audio system with AUX-in, USB and Bluetooth connectivity. It misses out on several decent features such as alloy wheels, LED headlamps, auto-folding electric ORVMs and infotainment system etc. to name a few. Mechanically, the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Lxi gets the BS 6 compliant 1.5L K15B petrol engine with top power of 103bhp and peak torque of 138Nm. Though, it will only be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission with no AMT option.
The mid-level Vxi variant, besides having all the features of the Lxi grade, will boast of an array of premium features. It will get LED headlamps with DRLs, wheel covers, hill hold (automatic variants only), push button start/stop, automatic climate control to mention a few. The noticeable omissions are alloy wheels, roof rails, touchscreen infotainment system, height adjustable front seats and cruise control. 2020 Vitara Brezza Vxi retaining the same engine and transmission, it can also be availed with a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The Zxi trim can be termed as the best when it comes to value-for-money proposition as it would come with a massive feature list. Apart from all the features of Vxi grade, it will be equipped with various class-leading features in form of a 7-inch touchscreen Smartplay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & Navigation, alloy wheels, rear wiper, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 60:40 split rear seats, and cruise control. Though, it will be deprived of the dual-tone exterior color options. The engine and transmission options will be the same as Vxi variant.
Being the flagship variant, the Zxi+ will get best-in-segment equipments and features. It will feature rain-sensing auto wipers, front fog lamps, two tweeters, auto headlamps, auto-fold electric ORVMs, a reverse camera, and leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard. It can also be availed in three dual-tone body colors while the engine and transmission option remain the same.
