DC Design completely modified the interior and removed the third row seats

In India, DC Design is a name synonymous with stunning car modifications and interior transformations. Bollywood celebrities to business tycoons, DC Designs are the much-sought-after name for modifications be it the exterior or the interior. Mahindra & Mahindra even tied up recently with DC Designs to sell customized Mahindra Marazzo in the Indian market. So, you can imagine the excitement when DC Designs converted a Toyota Fortuner into a luxurious SUV worth every rupee.

In this particular modification by DC Design, the Toyota Fortuner's exterior look has been left untouched. Rather the design house has completely modified the cabin and it is radically different from the original. For example, the third row of seats are gone and the middle row has been converted into captain seats that are electrically adjustable. Further sprucing up the inside, 10-inch individual screens have been provided behind the head rests of the driver and co-passenger seats. Plus the presence of an Apple iPad aims to make the overall experience more enriching. In regards to convinience, the lounge SUV has been fitted with a touch-enabled control. Occupants can use the remote to control settings like ambient lighting, seat reclining and the brightness of the cabin. DC Designs has made the middle row of seats more comfortable by giving it a reclining feature and one can use the remote  to make necessary adjustments. Talking about the upholstery, there are diamond-stitched leather seats with the rear seats caters to calf support.

DC Design has also introduced electrically powered folding table for the rear occupants. The rear passengers can fold the table using a button and use it for eating or working. If you are interested in light reading or working on the laptop, the interior features reading lights that are placed on the sides. The modified Toyota Fortuner's roofliner stands to provide lighting buds that aim at adding bling to the interior. The Indian design house has not disclosed the exact figure for the customization but it would easily cost several lakhs for a prospective customer. The exact price of the modified Toyota Fortuner would depend on the level of modification undertake by DC Design.

Mechanically, the company has left the powertrain as it is. In February 2020, Toyota launched the BS6 compliant Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 28.18 lakhs, the SUV is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engines. The 2.7-litre petrol engine delivers 164 bhp of power output and 245Nm of peak torque. While the 2.8-litre diesel engine  produces a maximum power output of 174 bhp with 450Nm of torque. The petrol and diesel engines are paired to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
