The company has seen a 5.63 percent rise in market share.

Launched in September 2017, the company’s UV market share has been consistently on the rise since the crossover’s introduction. From 2.68 percent in August 2017, the company has raised it to 8.31 percent. The company sold 6,578 UVs in the month of April 2018 (April 2017: 1,607 / 2.27 percent). Passenger car sales contributed 10,657 units, maintaining its market hold at 5.32 percent (April 2017: 11,220 / 5.88 percent).

The Tiago hatchback also did quite well, but the company’s UV sales saw a three-fold increase, thanks to the strong performance of the Nexon. The Nexon has cumulatively sold 33,088 units since its launch. Now, the company has even brought in the AMT version of the crossover (with petrol and diesel engine variants).

The car now has a lot of competition from the popular Vitara Brezza, which also has AMT variants.
