Photos of Volkswagen’s New Polo-based sedan have surfaced online. The sedan is a replacement for the Honda City-rivalling Vento, and is built on Volkswagen’s MQB A0 platform; the company will use the platform to develop small cars and also models for emerging markets like South America and India.

The sedan’s rear bumper, boot and slim wraparound tail-lights are similar to the Audi A4, and it also gets smatterings of chrome.

The Virtus’s interior is the same as the all-new Polo, including its dual-LED screen cockpit. It will also will be the first model in its segment to feature a 10.2- inch TFT screen along with a second 8.0-inch infotainment display. Like in the New Polo, engines are likely to include a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor.
As of now, there’s no news of if or whether the car will come to India.
