Toyota is all set to launch Vellfire MPV on 26th February 2020 in India.

Toyota has been a market leader in the MPV segment over the years with its flagship product Innova which has been a runaway success in the last 15 years. The Innova can be noticed everywhere, from the metropolis of Gurgoan to the hinterlands of Haryana. It paved the way for Toyota to gain a foothold in the highly competitive Indian automobile market and the upcoming launch of Vellfire MPV is a sign of Toyota’s commitment of being a leader in the MPV segment. The Toyota Vellfire has been spotted testing and the fact that the dealerships are getting the vehicles in their inventory indicates that the launch date is closer than expected.

Toyota Vellfire MPV Engine Specifications

Powered by a 2.5L petrol engine with maximum power of 87 bhp and peak torque of 198 Nm, the Velfire MPV comes equipped with two electric motors at the front and rear, generating 141 bhp and 67 bhp respectively, with the total power output rated at 196 bhp. There is an e-CVT gearbox for the front wheels and electronic 4WD for helping it retain stability at a higher speed.

Toyota Vellfire MPV comes with a host of features like LED headlamps with cornering function, 2 sunroofs, and a  majestic 17-speaker JBL sound system. In addition, the safety features include 7 airbags along with ABS and EBD and parking assist alert to give the consumers a safer traveling experience with Toyota Vellfire MPV.

Toyota Vellfire MPV Dimensions

Toyota Vellfire MPV measures nearly 5 metres in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,895 mm in height. Wheelbase is around 3,000 mm while it weighs about three tonnes.

The interior cabin boasts of 10-inch touchscreen unit that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while there are 16 color options for roof lighting. Other interior highlights include auto climate control, foldout tables, cupholders, options for heated/cooling seats etc. to name a few.

Toyota Vellfire MPV  Expected Price and Rivals

Contrary to expectations, Toyota Vellfire MPV is expected to rival Mercedes-Benz V-Class and could be priced around Rs 85-90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Vellfire is all set to be launched in India on 26 February 2020 with an aim to strengthen Toyota’s grip on the MPV segment in the coming days.
