The new extended warranty policy covers key power-train components (Battery, Motor, Controller) for all the products

Pure EV, an IIT Hyderabad-incubated startup is offering a new warranty extension policy with several benefits for its existing customers. Talking about this extended warranty policy, it covers key powertrain components (Battery, Motor, & Controller) for all its current models.

“The entire EV components manufacturing ecosystem is at a nascent stage today in the country and PURE EV is working extensively for continuous improvements in the components design life and field reliability through our research center at IIT Hyderabad. We have a strong R&D team in the entire power train components related to battery, motor, and controller who work closely with our manufacturing and service teams and evaluate feedback from various stakeholders. This announcement of extension in the warranty policy is done after strong data analytics and through extensive design improvements of these critical components. One of the strong initiatives that the Company took last year was the launch of Batrics Faraday, AI-driven hardware that enables battery service failure resolution at dealers’ levels. This saves precious man-hours otherwise spent in replacement of a series of cells and significantly reduces the battery ‘Turn Around Time’ (TAT),” as commented by Nishanth Dongari, Founder, PURE EV, and Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIT Hyderabad.

Pure EV: Extended Warranty Policy

Pure EV is the only Indian Electric Vehicle two-wheeler company that is working towards improving the customer experience by re-investing its profits into the detailed R&D of batteries, motors, & controllers, service camps, free upgrades & better service infrastructure at all dealer outlets including the repairing capabilities, and adequate manpower training, and the after-sales service activities. Based on the data-driven approach, the company has been successful in formulating this policy. The data points assessed during this approach include in-house test data over the last two years, on-ground product performance of these components over 40,000 km for most of the Pure EV models, and customers & dealers’ feedback.

“We are delighted to announce that this extended warranty policy will also be applicable on a retrospective basis and all our existing customers can also avail of this policy. This increase in the warranty time period is an outcome of our years of comprehensive feedback evaluation mechanism through our customers and various other stakeholders. While this warranty policy is backed financially through our strong balance sheet, emphasis on factory training of our dealer’s service technicians and extensive investments in after-sales service infrastructure which is at par with the traditional ICE vehicles,” as commented by Rohit Vadera, Chief Executive Officer of PURE EV.
