All the 50+ units of the SUV allocated to the Indian market have been sold out

Mercedes Benz India has launched the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC at a sticker price of Rs 2.43 Crores (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. All the 50+ units of the SUV allocated to the Indian market have been booked in advance while the next set is expected to arrive by the Q1 of 2022. Besides being the first Maybach SUV, the GLS Maybach 600 will only be the second Maybach model to be rolled out in the Indian market, following the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. It will rival Range Rover Autobiography SV, Volvo XC90 Excellence and Bentley Bentayga in the Indian market.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 comes with private jet-like individual rear seats which can be reclined by 43.5 degrees and pushed back by 120 mm. They also get the electrical adjustment with memory alongside the electrically extending leg rest. The rear comfort package plus consists of Chauffeur function and Climatized outer seats as standard. Other features include Multicontour seats with massage function, Wireless Charging, MBUX rear tablet and Pre-Safe Function. Mercedes Benz has also equipped it with two folding tables at the rear which provide space for a notebook or documents while finished in high-quality leather. There is also a refrigerated compartment incorporated harmoniously into the rear armrest. The occupants also have an option for Interior lighting and Mounting point for two champagne flutes.




The SUV boasts of the AIRMATIC air suspension with Adaptive Damping System Plus (ADS+) as standard. The E-Active Body Control feature enables the buyers to use three innovative functions namely the ROAD SURFACE SCAN, the Active Curve tilting function CURVE and the Recovery mode. The SUV rides on 22-inch Maybach multi-spoke light-alloy wheels including fully integrated wheel bolt covers. Under the bonnet, Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has the 4.0L V8 petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine alone develops top power of 557 bhp between 6,000 - 6,500 rpm and peak torque of 730 Nm at between 2,500 - 4,500 rpm. The power output and torque performance increases by 22 bhp and 250 Nm, respectively, due to the EQ Boost by 48V system. It is linked to a 9-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all the four wheels.
