Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched a vehicle subscription program called Maruti Suzuki Subscribe for Delhi NCR and Bangalore. The company has introduced this program to offer easy and flexible car ownership for its customers. Talking about this subscription program, a customer can use a new car without actually owning it. They will just have to pay an all-inclusive monthly fee that includes zero-down payment, maintenance, insurance, roadside assistance, and no resale risk.
In order to launch this vehicle subscription program, Maruti has collaborated with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services India. This is basically a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation in Japan. Through this association, the customers can make a choice from Maruti Suzuki ARENA models and NEXA models. They can choose a new Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza and Ertiga from the ARENA category and new Baleno, Ciaz and XL6 from the NEXA category.
Speaking on this announcement, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Maruti Suzuki India Limited said; “The vehicle subscription market is new to India and as such offers a huge untapped potential. Globally, penetration of such leasing programme varies between 5% and 30%. The comprehensive Maruti Suzuki Subscribe initiative offers customers the multiple advantages and peace of mind from botheration of maintenance costs and insurance renewal. The programme is especially focussed to bring convenience to the individual customers. Besides flexibility of tenure, it offers nil down payment and includes registration costs, insurance and its renewal as well as routine maintenance, Additionally, the roadside assistance service brings total peace of mind to the customers. Progressively we aim to offer Maruti Suzuki Subscribe in 40-60 cities in the next 2-3 years”.
He further explains, let us assume that the customer wants a Swift LXi, they will have to pay a monthly subscription charge starting from Rs 14,463 (including tax). The customers can select the duration from 12 months to 48 months. Furthermore, this subscription will cover the expenses for maintenance, zero dep insurance and 24x7 roadside assistance. Once the subscription tenure has been completed, the customers can either get the vehicle upgrade done, extend the tenure period, or buy the car at the market price.
Maruti Suzuki Subscribe also offers the vehicle with white number plate or black number plate as per the choice of the customers. Also, Orix will be handling vehicle maintenance, insurance coverage and road side assistance through Maruti Suzuki’s dealer channel.
