Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Scorpio N Z8 Select variant in the Indian market. The Scorpio N SUV’s new addition is available at a starting price of INR 16.99 lakh, and it goes up to INR 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant is positioned between the Z8 and Z6 variants, and it comes in two-wheel-drive form. It is placed below the Scorpio N Z8 and Z8L variants.
The auto giant is offering the Z8 Select variant with either a petrol or diesel engine. The Scorpio N Z8 Select will arrive at the company’s dealerships on March 1. Mahindra stated that it has speeded up the production process for the new variant.

The new variant features double-barreled LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED sequential turn indicators that are integrated into the ORVMs, and LED projector fog lamps. It stands on diamond-cut, 17-inch alloy wheels. The Z8 Select comes in a new Midnight Black shade, which is not available in other variants of the SUV. The variant continues to get Multi-tuned Valve Central Land (MTV-CL) and Frequency Dependent Damping (FDD). It comes loaded with safety features like six airbags, four-disc brakes, ABS, ESP, and more.

Inside the cabin, the Z8 Select gets coffee-black leatherette upholstery and Adrenox Connect with built-in Alexa. It also features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and a 7.0-inch color TFT instrument console. The new Adrenox technology also adds over 60 car-connected capabilities to the SUV, although amenities such as a sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto have been retained. The Scorpio N Z8 Select misses out on significant key features like push-button start, dual-zone climate control, auto headlights, and wipers.
The Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select is now available in diesel and petrol powertrain options with automatic and manual transmission choices. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine churns out 197 bhp of power and 380 Nm of peak torque, whereas the 2.2-litre diesel engine generates 173 bhp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. Both units are mated to a 6-speed manual or a torque converter.
