Mandira Bedi adds a Tata Nexon EV to her car garage

Electric Vehicles are slowly gaining popularity among Indian consumers. There has been a spate of EV launches in the Indian automobile market in the last couple of years pointing to a rising graph in acceptance of EV's. Actress Mandira Bedi who found fame with her iconic role in Doordarshan TV Serial ‘Shanti’ has recently bought a Tata Nexon EV for her self. A noted fashion designer and television presenter, Mandira was clicked with her husband next to their brand new Nexon EV. About Tata Nexon EV, it arrived in the Indian Automobile market in January 2020 at an introductory price of Rs 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), India. Further, the top-end variant will set you back by Rs 15.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), India. It is currently available in 3 variants namely XM, XZ+ and XZ+. With the introduction of Tata Nexon EV, it heralded Tata's new strategy towards environmentally sustainable Electric Vehicle segment.

Tata Nexon is powered by a 30.2 kWh IP67 certified Lithium-Ion battery. The battery takes an hour to get charged from 0 to 80 percent with the assistance of a fast charger. In the case of a normal charger, the electric SUV will take 8.5 hours to get charged from 10 to 90 percent. In terms of the range, it can travel up to 312 kms on a single charge. If we talk about the performance, then it can acelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 4.6 seconds while the 0 to 100 kmph figure can be achieved in 9.9 seconds. These are impressive numbers for an electric SUV that makes Tata Nexon EV a rising star in its segment. The electric four-wheeler offers two drive modes - Drive and Sport. 

Recently, Tata Motors started a subscription scheme for Nexon EV at Rs 41,999 per month. The pilot scheme is currently available in 5 Indian cities namely Delhi/NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai. The rental service is available for 3 tenures - 18, 24 and 36 months. The customers can avail benefits like free maintenance with timely servicing, on-call roadside assistance, insurance coverage plus doorstep delivery.
