MG Motor India has launched the 2021 ZS EV Facelift at a starting price of Rs 20.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), Delhi in the country. Being available in two grades namely Excite and Exclusive, it is being offered with 5 years/unlimited kms warranty, 5 years roadside assistance and 5 labor free services while there is also 8 years/1.5 lakh kms warranty on its battery. The 2021 MG ZS EV Facelift comes loaded with a plethora of premium and upmarket features as it directly rivals the Hyundai Kona in the Indian market.


Its ground clearance has been increased to 177mm along with battery height which now stands at 205mm. The front end flaunts projector automatic headlamps with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) and a chrome finished grille. Other styling elements include roof rails, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and rear spoiler. The facelifted version comes with an all-black cabin with seats and dashboard finished in leather. As for features, it has been equipped with plenty of bells and whistles such as a panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, electrically adjustable driver seat, start/stop button with smart entry, PM filter and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with i-Smart EV 2.0 system.

Talking about the safety features, it comes loaded with 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, ESC, electric parking brake, tyre pressure monitor, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, and rear camera. Mechanically, the facelifted version is similar to the outgoing model of the SUV as it carries the same electric motor which is paired to a 44.5 kWh Hi-Tech IP6 rated battery. The motor delivers a top power of 141bhp and peak torque of 353Nm while offering a driving mileage of 419 kilometers. The battery takes 6 - 8 hours to charge if done through an AC charger. However, with a 50 kW DC fast charger, the 0-80 percent charge can be achieved in merely 50 minutes. The all-electric SUV gets three driving modes: Sport, Normal & Eco.
