The company has confirmed that a plug-in hybrid version will be added to its lineup at the end of this year.

Audi has unveiled the 2025 A3 facelift for the international market. The auto giant is offering the A3 in both hatchback and saloon styles. The facelifted version comes with a range of updated cosmetic features. Audi will first offer the A3 with diesel and petrol engines. However, the company has confirmed that it will add plug-in hybrid technology to its lineup at the end of this year. The auto giant is offering the A3 facelift in three new colors: District Green, Progressive Red, and a matte version of Daytona Grey.

The facelifted Audi A3 comes equipped with a new hexagonal and frameless singleframe grille. The model gets revamped headlights along with four selectable signature LED DRLs and Matrix LED lighting. The A3 gets a revamped front end, along with a new bumper and grille. The car features wider wheel arches and dark rocker side skirts. The Audi A3 rolls on the larger 17-inch wheels, while the sedan version gets 16-inch alloy wheels.

The 2025 Audi A3 facelift comes with new styling, standard equipment, and an updated cabin. The A3 continues to come as a sedan, whereas there’s also a new A3 allstreet that is close to a crossover between an SUV and an estate. The SUV version also comes with a slightly robust appearance, and it gets extra ground clearance of 30 mm.

Inside the cabin, the new Audi A3 gets revised aesthetics, including a newly designed gear shifter, new lighting, air vents, and fabric inlays that are made from 100 percent recycled polyester. The cabin houses updated features like a new three-spoke steering wheel, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with the Audi Virtual Cockpit, two USB-C charging ports, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and an updated MMI unit with voice command.

The Audi A3 facelift comes with adaptive cruise assist, dual-zone climate control, high-beam assist, and Audi Pre-sense with ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). Powering the new A3 are the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid turbo petrol and 2.0-litre turbo diesel. Both units churn out power of 148 bhp, and they are mated to the 7-speed S-tronic automatic transmission.

As of now, the automaker has no plans to bring back the new A3 to the Indian market. The A3  sedan model used to be very famous in India nearly a decade ago. It was also the company’s most affordable sedan in the country until the introduction of BS6 emission norms in 2020. In Audi's lineup, the A3 was later replaced by the Q2. In the country, the Audi sedan lineup now starts with the Audi A4 sedan.
