Maruti Suzuki India Limited is an Indian subsidiary of Japanese automobile and motorbike manufacturer known as Suzuki. The alliance is popularly known as Maruti which at the time of its inception in 1981 was known as Maruti Udyog Limited. The first manufacturing facility was established at Gurugram, Haryana and another manufacturing facility was later established at Manesar, Haryana.
