The new variant also gets the i-Touchstart feature for a silent and instant start

TVS Motor Company has launched the Jupiter ZX variant with i-Touchstart feature at a starting price of Rs 69,052 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The i-Touchstart tech delivers a silent and instant start, barring the noise while making it an ideal vehicle for constant starts in thick traffic. TVS Jupited ZX also gets a disc brake system while a few other features also include an all-in-one lock to operate the ignition, steering lock, seat lock and fuel tank cap with a single keyhole. It directly rivals the country's best-seller Honda Activa 6G.

Speaking of TVS Jupiter ZX, it comes loaded with a plethora of bells and whistles such as LED headlamp, massive 21 litres of under-seat storage, semi-digital instrument cluster, 2-litre glove box and mobile charger to name a few. It is around Rs 3950 more costlier and premium than the drum brake variant which is sold at an introductory price of Rs 65,102 (Ex. Showroom). The Jupiter ZX is being offered in three color schemes: Matte Starlight Blue, Starlight Blue and Royal Wine. The range-topping variant in the TVS Jupiter range is Classic which is priced at Rs 69,602.

Mechanically, TVS Jupiter XZ is powered by the BS6 compliant 110cc petrol engine which generates maximum power output of 8bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque performance of 8Nm at 5500rpm. Being equipped with Ecothrust Fuel injection (ET-Fi) technology, it returns 15 percent more mileage than before. The ‘i-TOUCHstart’ technology also plays a big role in accentuating the fuel economy as it comes with an in-built integrated starter generator. “i-TOUCHstart also improves battery life and provides a maintenance-free system,” TVS said.
