The updated car comes with sleeker styling, updates to the interior and additional equipment.

The facelifted Corolla is now officially on sale all over India at a price of ₹15.87 lakh for the base petrol and ₹19.91 lakh for the top diesel trim. The updated model has a freshly tweaked exterior and interior, and Toyota is positive the Altis will be a success.

The Corolla now sports a smooth front and revised rear. The interior too been transformed, with the addition of a brand new circular side air-con vents as well as a new centre console. The car also comes fitted with a revised dashboard. Other features include new-design alloy wheels, daytime running lights and new LED headlamps. The petrol model offers a touchscreen infotainment system with a Mirrorlink facility and this will also be available as an option on the diesel car. The top petrol trim features seven airbags along with stability control and hill start assist. Five airbags and ABS are offered as standard on other petrol trims. The diesel version only gets three airbags in total.

Power will remain the same as its predecessor, with a 1.8-litre petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel. Toyota has discontinued the old base J trim with the launch of this car. With this updated version of one of its most popular cars in the market, Toyota hopes to increase declining sales in the luxury sedan segment.
