The Skoda Enyaq and Volkswagen ID.4 have similar foundations. The electric SUV will go on sale next year.

For so long, Skoda Auto India has been witnessing the Enyaq electric SUV in the country. It is actually anticipated that the automaker will launch the model in India at the latest by mid-2024. In the start, the Enyaq EV will enroute India via CBU or Completely Built Unit route thus claiming a higher price tag. Although, Skoda did make a comment suggesting that if the model will attract a huge customer base, they’ll turn up using the Completely Knocked Down assembly route, relaxing to a bit on the cost part. The car maker is going to first assess the overall market response towards this EV SUV and then will strategise their future plans for EVs accordingly. And the rivals for Skoda Enyaq in the Indian market are going to be Kia EV6 and Hyudai Ioniq 5

The MEB platform, a specialised electric skateboard platform developed by Volkswagen Group, serves as the foundation for the Enyaq. These platforms are increasingly widely used by manufacturers because they maximize interior space by placing the wheels at the corners and utilizing the battery pack as a floorboard. The other dimensions are 4,648 mm, 1,877 mm, and 1,618 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. Thus, it is marginally smaller than the Kodiaq, Skoda's current flagship vehicle. But the Enyaq is only a two-row car, whereas the Kodiaq has three rows.
