Royal Enfield revealed the introductory prices of the Himalayan 450 in November at Motoverse 2023.

Royal Enfield has increased the price of the Himalayan 450 in India. The motorcycle manufacturer announced last year that it was planning to surge the price of the Himalayan in January 2024. Now, the manufacturer has revealed new costs for the Himalayan 450. Earlier, Royal Enfield revealed the introductory prices of the motorcycle in November at Motoverse 2023. However, the prices were only valid until December 31st.

The Himalayan Kaza Brown paint scheme has gotten the biggest surge of INR 16,000, whereas the Slate Blue and Red's costs have now increased by INR 15,000. Kamet White and Hanle Black received a price surge of INR 14,000.

The Himalayan Kaza Brown is now available at a price of INR 2.85 lakh, and the Slate Blue and Red come at a price of INR 2.89 lakh. The Kamet White, on the other hand, now costs INR 2.93 lakh, whereas the top-end Hanle Black is priced at INR 2.98 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is powered by the new Sherpa 450 engine. It is a single-cylinder, 452-cc liquid-cooled unit that churns out 40 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox along with a slip-and-assist clutch. This is the first time that the manufacturer has produced a liquid-cooled unit.

Compared to the previous model, the new Himalayan 450 is 54 mm shorter, 12 mm wider, and 55 mm longer. The wheelbase has also grown to 1,510 mm. The new Himalayan 450 now comes with an enhanced road presence. For better weight distribution, the manufacturer has shifted the fuel tank down while the air box has been shifted upwards, which in turn has increased the water-holding capacity of the motorcycle. Royal Enfield is also offering adjustable seat heights on the new bike. The motorcycle has a seat height of 825 mm, and it can be raised to 845 mm. Additionally, a lower seat height option will be available as an accessory.

The Himalayan 450 will now rival the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310GS, and the forthcoming Hero XPulse 400.
