Owner modifies Tata Nexon interior in Rolls Royce Style

Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling subcompact SUVs in India. It has quickly established itself in the highly competitive and lucrative segment since its arrival back in 2017. With an attractive pricing of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), India, Tata Nexon is pitted against Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser in its segment. It was given a facelift earlier this year with a revamped front grille design and new features. Tata Nexon might be enticing enough but the buyers still love to modify it nonetheless. We bring to you one such modification that stands out from the rest of the crowd. One customer has modified his Nexon’s interior into a luxurious cabin, it reminds us of Rolls Royce vehicles.

The interior flaunts a starlight headliner seen in premium Rolls Royce models like the Ghost and the Phantom. The effect is more pronounced due to a black fabric covering the headliner. Thousands of optical fibre threads come together to provide an effect of a starry night. The premium appearance might have come at a huge cost to the owner, but it is stunning, to say the least. Also, the cabin finish of black and beige is different from the stock vehicle currently sold in the market. Even the steering wheel is wrapped in leather to distinguish it from other Tata Nexon cars on sale. The modification extends to the seats which come with extra cushioning for extra comfort to the occupants. The designers have added ambient lighting to the footwell for better lighting especially at night.

The powertrains remain the same as the stock vehicle with no modifications. The subcompact SUV is offered with two engine options - a 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litreRevotorq turbo diesel. The turbo-petrol unit belts out 118 bhp of power output and 170 Nm of peak torque. While the diesel engine delivers 108 bhp power with 260 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options available with both diesel and petrol include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT unit.
