Mahindra XUV700 spotted playing a movie on its infotainment touchscreen display ahead of its official launch

Mahindra & Mahindra is prepping to launch the XUV700 in Q2 FY2022. The SUV has been spotted doing test runs on the Indian road on multiple occasions. It will be locally manufactured at the company’s production facility at Chakan in Maharashtra. Recently, a test mule of the new XUV700 has been spied playing a movie on the new touchscreen infotainment display ahead of its official launch. The spy image of the same has surfaced online.

The image reveals a completely lit touchscreen infotainment unit. If we look at the image carefully, we can see the home screen of the infotainment unit with several sections stacked vertically next to each other. We can further clearly see a colorful instrument cluster display with a digital tachometer on the right and a speedometer on the left. At the centre of the instrument cluster, information like terrain, fuel efficiency, and range are displayed. Besides these, the infotainment unit is expected to support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will further come equipped with e-Sim-based internet connectivity. This does not stop here, Mahindra XUV700 is likely to get a voice assistant to control various features of the SUV via the voice command.

Moving on, Mahindra will also offer the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) on the new XUV700. This will further include features like adaptive cruise control, emergency braking assistance, autonomous parking assistance among many others. The SUV will be offered in 6- and 7- seat configurations. Performance-wise, it is being speculated that it will be offered with a more powerful iteration of the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The new XUV700 will be offered in both 2WD and 4WD variants.
