He further added, "in the last one week, Faridabad reported 98 cases, Jhajjar reported six cases, Sonipat 27 and Gurugram 111 cases. Barring those categories for which relaxation has been granted by the high court and the Home Ministry, the inter-state border should be sealed".

According to several media reports, people on foot, riding cycles and on motorcycles were stopped from entering Gurgaon. A few motorists were allowed to pass through given that they had the proper paper work basically the e-pass. This led to protests from the public leading to a tense situation. A group of workers who are employed in the various factories in the Udyog Vihar resorted to violence leading to a confrontation with the Police. Incidences of stone-pelting were reported also from the border with 6 cops getting hurt in the violence.
