2020 BS6 Datsun Redi-Go Facelift all set for delivery; expected to be expensive than its BS4 counterpart.

Nissan India teased the facelifted version of Datsun Redi-Go sometime earlier. The hatchback is expected to be launched in India anytime soon. Amidst COVID'19 lockdown, Datsun began operation at some of its dealerships in accordance with government and local authority directives. The auto manufacturer has also started dispatching the new BS6 Datsun Redi-Go Facelift to dealerships. Recently, the 2020 Redi- Go facelift was spotted at a dealership ahead of its official launch.

The BS4 Datsun Redi-Go was priced at Rs 2.8 lakhs (ex-showroom). The 2020 BS6 Redi-Go Facelift is expected to be priced at Rs 2.95 lakhs(ex-showroom). Compared to its predecessor, the Datsun Redi-Go will be offered in 4 trims namely D, A, T, & T(O). 

In terms of cosmetic updates, the front fascia of BS6 Datsun Redi-Go Facelift features a large grille with chrome surrounds. It gets all-new sleeker headlamps with silver accents, new muscular bumper with L-shaped LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and manual-folding ORVMs. On the sides, it gets 14-inch alloy wheels. The rear end gets a rear spoiler, new rear bumper and new LED taillamps.

The interior of the BS6 Datsun Redi-Go facelift boasts of an all-new dashboard with black and gunmetal grey dual-tone colour scheme. Other highlighted features include an all-new 8-inch touchscreen display integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, redesigned steering wheel and digital instrument cluster.

In terms of safety features, it comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS with ABD, rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, central locking, seatbelt reminder, front seat belts with pre-tensioners along with load limiters and speed sensors.

Under the skin, 2020 BS6 Redi-Go facelift will continue to draw power from the same 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines. The 0.8-litre petrol unit produces 52 bhp power and 72 Nm torque. While the 1.0-litre petrol engine churns out 68 bhp of maximu power output with 91 Nm of peak torque. While both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 1.0-litre engine also gets 5-speed AMT as an option.
