The bike will come with a digital instrument pod and a host of other changes.

Bajaj will be refreshing models in its range this year, and the most substantial changes will be to the Avengers. There are currently two versions on sale - a 150cc and a 220cc – and three variants, Street (150, 220) and Cruise (220 only).

The bikes will be overhauled in terms of looks, features and specifications. Bajaj will also look at pricing the bike very competitively. The Avenger 220, which is the more popular of the two, will get significant updates, including a digital instrument pod, LED DRLs, a flush-fitting fuel-tank cap, a revised seat on both bikes (with the 220 expected to get a plush split-seat), a new grab rail and sissy bar, and revised Avenger insignia as well. We’re not sure if both bikes will get ABS, but the 220 will get a single-channel unit in this update. Bajaj will bring the 150 closer to the 220 in terms of its appeal.

The company will also redo the bodywork, which has remained unchanged for a while now. Currently the Avenger retails at ₹81,459 (Street 150) and ₹89,690 (Street/Cruise 220; ex-showroom, New Delhi). Bajaj may raise prices a bit when these bikes are launched.
