This version is more powerful, lighter and half a second faster to 100kph than the previous model.

The second-gen RS5 Sports Coupè is now on sale in India at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom). The car debuts the two-door coupè body style for the latest-generation A5 in India - the A5 line-up features sportback and convertible model.

And, even though it may be smaller in displacement compared to the previous engine, it puts out a solid maximum power of 450hp and a whopping 600Nm. Audi claims the new RS5 can hit 100kph in 3.9sec! That’s half a second faster than the previous RS5. Power is sent to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system via an eight-speed gearbox.

In standard form, the car is limited to 250kph, but you can take that up to a top-speed of 280kph as an optional extra. There are 19-inch wheels are standard, while 20-inchers are optional. On the inside, you get sport seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, Alcantara leather upholstery, sport pedals and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument system with RS highlights.
