In India, the company was established as Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited in the year 1997. The company has its headquarters in New Delhi.  In India, the company manufactures scooters and motorcycles. The company has a manufacturing plant in Gurgaon that has an annual production capacity of 540,000 units annually.  The facility is built upon the 37 acres of land. But what sets the production facility apart is the company’s commitment towards the environment as the plant has a zero discharge of toxic fumes into the environment. The company forged an alliance between TVS Motor Company in 1982 that marked the start of the production of two-wheeler in the Indian market. However, this alliance could last only till 2001 as the duo separated their ways. The company entered the Indian market in the year 2006.

After that, the company has been trying to build a good brand image and has been quite successful at it also. To increase the brand recall value, the company introduced its international range of superbikes that included the famed Hayabusa, Gixxer1000, and Bandit.

The most expensive Bike model is Suzuki Intruder M1800R which is a tourer motorcycle with a fuel tank capacity of 19L. The Suzuki Intruder M1800R model is priced at₹ 18.2 Lacs.

As per the latest information available from the brand side, three Suzuki new Bike models are going to be launched in the year 2019- 2020. The 3 upcoming Bikes are Suzuki Gixxer 250 that will be priced at 1.55 lacs, Suzuki Gixxer 2019 that will be priced at around 94K, Suzuki Intruder 250 that is slated to launch in the year 2020 and is likely to be priced at 1.8 lacs.
