The Suzuki Gixxer SF much like its brand ambassador is one of the most stunning bikes in the 150cc segment. The fully-faired premium commuter motorcycle has been built on the same platform as that of Gixxer naked. Targeting a young audience, the Suzuki Gixxer SF has done quite well to make a name for itself in the market. The reason why young audience loves fully-faired motorcycles is that of the street presence. The large panels which cover the engine and extend all the way to the headlamp are pretty noticeable when you are riding in a crowd or simply jet passing. However, a thing about a fully-faired motorcycle is that it may or may not look good depending on the stature. In case of Gixxer, the Japanese manufacturer has nailed it. The beautifully designed model with the fairing that sports funky decals is indeed the talk of the town.
Having seen the overview, let us move towards the comprehensive Suzuki Gixxer SF review:
The designed cues have been taken from the GX-R model to help this model get an aerodynamic shape to improve its capabilities. The sculpted fuel tank and the rear panels along with edgy body panels have all been inspired by the bigger GSX-R superbikes along with the naked Gixxer.
Exterior: The Suzuki Gixxer SF looks fresh and attractive as compared to its naked sibling thanks to the new paint scheme and SUZUKI stickering. Among the most aesthetically appealing variants, the MotoGP edition is the beloved one. The other two colours on offer are glass sparkle black and pearl mirage white. Suzuki has gone miles ahead of its competitor to give this model fine detailing. The fascia of the model reminisces us of the legendary Suzuki motorcycles in Hayabusa and Suzuki GSX R1000. Every small detailing has been taken care of, from kick-lever accentuating the design to the fluorescent lines on the fairing, alloys and tanks.
Specifications: The Suzuki Gixxer SF is built on the single downtube frame which is similar to the standard Gixxer. The model comes with a 155cc single-cylinder engine which produces 14.6bhp of power and generates 14Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission. As for fuel efficiency, the Gixxer SF provides a mileage between 50-55 kmpl and reaches a top speed of 125 km/h.
Price: Suzuki Gixxer SF on road price is between INR 87,000 to INR 92,000 considering price after GST. The prices may vary based on the region.
Competitors: Suzuki Gixxer SF price and specifications put the model in direct competition with other bikes such as Honda Hornet 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160, Yamaha Fazer FI and the Bajaj Avenger 150 Street. You can even opt to buy Suzuki Gixxer SF with an ABS feature which is priced slightly higher at INR 96,000.
