Word to the wise: 1. Never purchase a vehicle under hypothecation. 2. Please avoid this seller. I paid the full amount on 9th July 2019. I wasn't informed that the vehicle registration was under hypothecation. A No Object Certificate (NOC) from the vehicle-loan-issuing bank is necessary for me to transfer ownership to my name. I've spoken to the seller dozens of times on phone, via WhatsApp, etc. He either doesn't respond or asks me to wait for a few more days. It has been more than three months now. I have even been fined by the traffic police for not having registration papers in my name. I will keep getting fines until the seller sends me the bank NOC.
