About Nissan GT-R

Nissan Motor Company Limited commonly known as ‘Nissan’, is a Japan-based company. The company was founded in the year 1933 by Masujiro Hashimoto. The car brand is associated with many popular brands like Mitsubishi, Austin motors and also is a part of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance since the year 1999. The company is the sixth largest producer after Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai Motor Group, and Ford.

Nissan is also known for its venture in the sports car segment. The brand has two cars in this segment, i.e. the Nissan GT-R and the Nissan 370Z.

  • Nissan GT-R: The Nissan GT-R is like the identity of the sports car segment for Nissan. The GT-R is available in two versions:
    • Nissan GT-R: The Nissan GT-R is a legend among the supercars in the world and often referred as the ‘Supercar Killer’ and even ‘Godzilla’. The engine of the car is uniquely designed, there are only 5 people called as the ‘Takumi’ that are allowed to assemble the engine of the car that is handcrafted by them. The car features a V6 Engine that generates power upto 570PS and can reach 0-100kmph in 3 seconds.
    • Nissan GT-R Nismo: The much-anticipated sibling of the legendary Nissan GT-R, the audience has very high expectations from the Nismo. The car is race tracked tuned with aerodynamic design and ultra-precise handling. The car is powered by the 3.8-litre V6 VR38DETT turbocharged engine that generates power upto 600hp and 652 Nm of torque. The interior trim features include discreet red stitching on the seats, centre console, door trim and steering wheel.
  • Nissan 370Z: With the dominant looks, the Nissan 370Z has been a tough competitor in sports coupe segment for more than four decades. The car has a sculpted body that emphasises the sporty aura of the car. The body of the car has been aerodynamically designed which can easily cope up with the wind pressure at high speeds. The front of the car features the bi-xenon headlamps that are shaped in such a way that it maintains the z-style at the time looking aggressive. The sides of the front bumper are attached with the daytime running headlights. The interior of the car is designed in a three-layer formation; the first layer is the ‘information layer’ that makes the instruments visible. The second layer is the ‘Operation layer’ three-spoke leather steering wheel, paddle shifters and switchgear. The ‘holding’ layer includes the sports seats, knee pads and door-trim supports, which help you stay firmly in place to enjoy the 370Z’s performance to the full. The car features a 3.7L V6 328PS 7-speed automatic engine that generates power upto 253Kw (344PS) @ 7,400rpm.

There are very few Nissan supercars in India as they are pretty high priced and are owned by prominent people and celebs of the country.
