About MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR

MV Agusta is an Italian based motorcycle company that was started in the year 1945 in Cascina Costa near Milan, Italy. The company was started from the leftovers of the Agusta aviation company formed by Count Giovanni Agusta in 1923. After the Count’s death, his sons kept the company running during the Second World War to keep the family funded and to manufacture cheap and efficient transport. MV Agusta bikes are known for their legendary feats in the Grand Prix with riders such as Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, Phil Read, Carlo Ubbiali, Gary Hocking and John Surtees. The company entered the Indian market in the year 2016 in collaboration with Kinetic motors. These are the models that are sold by MV Agusta in the Indian market.

  1. MV Agusta Brutale 1090: The looks of the bike is inspired from the MV Agusta F4 as it also features a naked streetfighter body type. With stunning design and aesthetics, anyone would say that Brutale 1090 is one of the best looking motorcycles. The Brutale 1090 is loaded with electronics like two riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle and an eight-level traction control system. The front of the bike has a round headlamp that enhances the front profile of the bike. The broad shoulders and a perfectly contoured fuel tank make long drives comfortable as they keep the rider’s position upright. For safety measures, the bike gets a traction control system with eight levels of intervention and quick electronic shifter that keeps the bike on the road. The bike runs on the 1,078cc, four cylinders, 16 valve engine that generates power 158hp at 11,900rpm along with a maximum torque of 100Nm at 10,100rpm.

  1. MV Agusta F4 RR: The original F4 was designed by the Italian automotive designer Massimo Tamburini. Since then, the F4’s are made with an artistic look with every model. The bike is aerodynamically designed with the Diamond Shaped headlamp in the front and stylish side lamps. The instrument cluster is fully digital and futuristic that comprises of a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter and fuel gauge. To enhance the engine performance, the bike features an advanced Ignition - Injection system that comprises features like Magneti Marelli fuel injectors and traction control with eight units of intervention. It also has the Bosch 9 ABS unit with rear wheel lift-up mitigation that offers a commendable stability while strict braking and avoids the rear wheel lift-up due to the immense stopping power. The bike runs on the 998cc, four-stroke, 16 valve engine that generates power upto 192.4bhp at 13,400rpm along with a peak torque of 110.8Nm at 9,600rpm.

The above-mentioned bikes are two main models of bikes that are available in the Indian market, while there are upcoming MV Agusta superbikes that offer better performance and high speeds.
