About Moto Guzzi Bikes

Moto Guzzi is not a mainstream bike manufacturing company; the company has a very interesting history. The company was started by two Corpo Aeronautico Militare pilots of World War I along with their mechanic, i.e. Carlo Guzzi, Giovanni Ravelli and Giorgio Parodi. The brand launched their first bike named G.P. (Guzzi and Parodi), which later went on to become Moto Guzzi. Currently, the company has its headquarters in Mandello del Lario, Italy. The brand later joined hands with other makers and led the world towards one of the biggest racing events in the Grand Prix. Since then the brand has been focused on manufacturing high-performance bikes that include models like the following.

  1. Griso 1200 8V SE: The bike has a bold yet stylish look that emanates from the high tensile steel tubular frame with fully adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The bike has a round headlamp in the front with a powerful headlamp and a chrome rim, while the rest of the body is covered in matte paint. The rear of the bike features a stylish silver muffler and a sporty tail light. The bike features a four-stroke, air/oil cooled, 1,151cc 90 degrees V-twin engine that generates power upto 110bhp and 108 Nm of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

 

  1. Moto Guzzi Audace: The Audace can be called as the evil sibling of the California 1400, the bike has a mammoth like body and is immensely powerful. It is considered to be one of the finest bikes from the Italian manufacturer. The name Audace means bold in Italian, perfectly addresses the profile of the bike. The bikes feature a round headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, stubby exhaust, multi-spoke wheels and other simplistic styling cues are designed to give it an understated look. The bike is powered by 1380cc 90 degrees V-twin engine that generates power upto 95bhp and 120Nm of torque.

 

  1. Moto Guzzi Eldorado: The Eldorado is referred as the modern classic bike from the Italian maker. The design of the bike is inspired by the 1970s ‘Police bike’ the original Eldorado. The Eldorado is the most expensive Moto Guzzi bike in the Indian market in company’s portfolio. The bike has a low-slung stance and the laid back riding position that makes it ideal for long hauls. The bike features LED lamps, digital console, ride-by-wire throttle and traction control give it a modern touch. The bike runs on the 1380cc V-twin engine that delivers 95bhp and 120Nm of torque and is coupled with a six-speed transmission that transfers power to the rear wheel through a shaft drive.

Moto Guzzi superbikes in India are retailed by Piaggio and are sold only in selected showrooms across the country.
