About Maruti Suzuki Alto

Maruti Suzuki has been one of the largest car selling companies in India and the best thing about Maruti Suzuki is that with every new car they launch, they put their best efforts to make it more efficient and durable which serves preferences of the Indian audiences. After the discontinuation of their iconic car Maruti 800, the company launched a replacement shortly named ‘Alto 800’.  Maruti Alto 800 also gained the reputation of its predecessor and became the largest selling car in India.

Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is a mini-sized hatchback from the maker, with its unique body type, it is an ideal family vehicle. The car offers stunningly high mileage and also is light on pockets when it comes to the maintenance of the car. The Alto 800 is nearly perfect in every way; it has got a small but powerful engine coupled with comfortable interiors.

Having seen the overview, let us move towards the comprehensive Maruti Suzuki Alto review:

Exterior:

Alto has a unique body design that makes it look alluring; it has a leaner upper grille with a large trapezoidal lower grille. Bonnet has been redesigned with character lines that give the car a refreshing look. Headlamp cluster is also redesigned, and the current model features fog lights on the front lower bumper. The side profile of the car has been decorated with prominent lines while the sloping roof of the car blends with the rear that features petal-shaped tail lights. The tailgate of the car has contoured lines that give it a small bulgy appearance in the centre where the ‘S’ logo of the car is placed.

Interior:

The interior of the car has been designed with budget quality plastic which is normally used in hatchbacks. For seating and driving comfort the seats of the car are covered in fabric upholstery. The dashboard of the car is greyish in colour with silver insets. For Safety, the car comes with an optional driver airbag, while the top specs of the car feature air-conditioning, power steering and front power windows, 1-DIN music system with two speakers in the front, remote keyless entry and co-driver side map pocket.

Technical Specifications:

The car features a 796 cc, three-cylinder, petrol engine that is able to generate power upto 47bhp at 6000rpm along with torque upto 69Nm at 3500rpm. The engine of the car is coupled to a conventional five-speed manual gearbox. The Alto is also offered with a CNG engine and is preferred by the entry-level drivers. The CNG fuelled engine bears the capacity to offer mileage upto 33.44km per kg.

Variants:

Maruti Suzuki Alto is available in 8 variants – Standard, Standard (O), LX, LX (O), LXI, LXI (O), VXI and VXI (O).

Price:
