There are a total of three KIA cars in India on sale, including 1 MPV and 2 SUVs. Kia upcoming cars in India Kia Stinger, Kia Sportage, Kia Rio, Kia Picanto, and Kia Soul. KIA cars had already made it clear, upon its entry in the Indian market, that it would launch a new car/SUV in the country in every six months. Though, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed its plans but the company is all set to launch a range of new cars and SUVs in India. To begin with, Kia Rio sedan will be launched in early 2021 in the country, followed by Kia Picanto, Kia Stinger and Kia Sportage. The Picanto is a small affordable hatchback while the Stinger is a high-performance sedan. Last but not the least, the Sportage is a premium SUV. There are words that Kia might introduce a 7-seater variant of the Seltos exclusively for the Indian market, on the lines of Hyundai Creta 7-seater.

Kia cars has a manufacturing facility in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh with production capacity of 3 Lakh units per year. The company made a capital investment of 2 billion USD in this facility.

KIA Cars History and Management

KIA Motors, despite being more than a year old in the Indian market, KIA Cars has managed to inaugurate over 100 touchpoints in majority of the cities in several states. Currently, Mr. Kookhyun Shim is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Managing Director (MD) of Kia Motors India. In addition, Manohar Bhat is appointed as the Head of Marketing & Sales, and Tae-Jin Park as the company's Executive Director (ED) and Chief Sales Officer (CSO). There are presently three boards of directors for the Indian division of Kia Motors: Sunggi Kim, Kookhyun Shim, and Woo Jeong Joo. Kia Motors is using Hyundai's research and development centre in Hyderabad for the time being, but it has plans to set up its own unit in future.
