About Hyosung GD450

Hyosung entered the Indian market with two models Comet 250 and Aquila 250 in the year 2004 in collaboration with Kinetic Motors. The Comet and Aquila were limited edition bikes and created quite a buzz in the market but there no bikes from the Korean maker after that. Hyosung bike returned to India in the year 2010 in partnership with Garware which did not last long, then the brand coupled with the DSK Group and created the brand DSK Hyosung.

Hyosung is a Korean based company that was initially set up as a manufacturing plant for Suzuki bikes in Changwon, Korea. In the year 1986, the company set up its own Research and Development centre in Hamamatsu, Japan and began manufacturing bikes all over the world. Currently, the brand manufactures the following bikes in the superbike segment.

  1. Hyosung GT650R: The bike was launched in the year 2012 and was introduced as middleweight performance motorcycle. The front of the motorcycle has powerful twin headlights and a neatly designed visor that saves the rider from wind blasts. It also features a sporty and split seat that is well-cushioned and feels comfortable. The instrumentation cluster includes a digital speedometer, twin tripmeters, fuel gauge and an analogue tachometer. The bike runs on V-Twin, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 8-Valves that generates power upto 72.68bhp at 9,000rpm with a net torque of 60.9Nm at 7,500rpm. The engine of the bike is loaded with the electronic fuel injection system that offers a crisp throttle response with an uninterrupted power delivery.

  1. Hyosung Aquila Pro 650: The Aquila Pro 650 is the larger and bigger version of the Aquila offered in India. It the second most expensive motorcycle sold by the Korean manufacturer.  On the front, the bike has a round headlamp covered in chrome that acts as an attention puller and also gives it a rich look. The bike features sharp character lines on the fuel tank that blends in with the character of the bike. The bike has a 647 cc, liquid cooled V-twin engine with a wet multi-plate 5-speed gearbox that makes the bike reach to the maximum power of 74bhp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque amount of 62.1Nm at 7500 rpm.

  1. Hyosung GT250R: The GT250R is one of the first Hyosung bikes that were launched in India, the bike was unique and one of a kind at that time. The bike shares a lot of similarity with its older sibling in terms of looks and appearances. The front of the bike looks aggressive with the tall windscreen. It features a two-stage projection beam that offers better visibility. The bike runs on 250cc V-twin DOHC engine coupled with electronic fuel injection. The bike features five-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch. The bike is available in three paint schemes - white-red, red-black and silver-red.

Hyosung bikes are made for perfection and offer unmatched performance, but with the growing competition, the new Hyosung superbike models have to be better than the others.
