Hero MotoCorp is one of the top-selling brands in the Indian market, it is known for manufacturing bikes and scooters in the commuter segment. The company was started as bicycle manufacturing company under the brand name of Hero Cycles in the year 1956 in Ludhiana, India. In the year 1985, the company joined hands with the Japanese conglomerate Honda Motors and set foot in the two-wheeler automobile Industry. The coalition coined the name Hero Honda and began selling automobiles under this brand nomenclature. In the year 2010, the Hero Honda coalition was brought to an end and Hero cycles adopted the name Hero MotoCorp.
Hero MotoCorp is renowned for manufacturing bikes that offer high fuel efficiency on the Indian roads but bear simple and decent look. Hero Glamour is the perfect example of decent looks combined with optimal performance, as it has an alluring look but comes with a 100cc engine. Glamour is assembled and manufactured in the company’s plant in Gurgaon and is a mid-sized commuter fighter. It comes in a combination of black being the base shade for blue, red, brown, yellow.
The bike is based on a streetfighter body type but looks very simple and bears minimalistic design cues. Its front gets a body coloured large headlight cowl with halogen bulbs and also comes with clear lens signal lights. The cowl is decorated with attractive graphics that run throughout the vehicles entire body. It has a contoured fuel tank which accommodates the driver comfortably while maintaining the sporty look. It has a single seat layout with a slight rise in the pillion side. The instrument console of the bike has a basic design which compromises of an analogue speedometer, fuel gauge and a single trip meter.
The Hero Glamour comes with an Air Cooled, 4 - Stroke Single Cylinder OHC engine which has the capacity to produce maximum power 9.1 PS @ 7000 rpm and maximum torque 10.35 Nm @ 4000 rpm. It has 4 Speed transmission that enables the bike to reach upto the top speed of 90 Kmph. It has a fuel tank capacity of 13.6 Litres and offers mileage upto 60kmpl. For safety, the bike gets drum brakes for both front and rear tyres.
The Hero Glamour price according to the ex-showroom valuation amounts upto INR 56,000 for a basic variant. However, the Hero Glamour on road price may vary from region to region due to the taxes and charges levied at purchase.
