About Benelli Imperiale 400

Benelli was founded by six Benelli brothers Giuseppe, Giovanni, Francesco, Filippo, Domenico and Antonio. The six brothers used to repair and manufacture motorcycle parts. The brothers formed a company and during the World War I, the company had already begun assembling bikes of their own. In 1920, the company made its first in-house engine, and in the year 1921, the company presented its first bike and entered the automobile industry. The first bike was ridden by Antonio Benelli which featured in a race and immediately proved to be a winner. Today Benelli is a part of the Qianjiang (QJ) Group, which produces more than 1.2 million two-wheelers per year and around 50,000 are Benelli bikes.

The brand manufactures bikes in sports and superbikes segments, while the company has only two bikes in the superbikes segment.

  1. Benelli TNT 600i: The Benelli 600i is middleweight streetfighter model motorcycle, it was launched with four other Benelli motorcycles in the year 2015. Also, it is one of the first 600cc bikes in India. The front of the bike has a sharp and pointed headlamp section that adds to the sporty look of the bike. The small sized black visor placed on the front body delivers a pure naked street bike feel. The fuel tank has been neatly designed that gives the rider a comfortable posture and enhances the look of the bike. The bike has a sporty step-up. The split seat that is well padded and offers maximum comfort. The vehicle features 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, Inline 4 cylinder, the Liquid cooled engine that generates power upto 85.07 PS @ 11500 rpm and torque upto 54.6 Nm @ 10500 rpm. With such a powerful engine, the bike can reach speeds upto 230 Kmph.

  1. Benelli TNT 600GT: The Benelli is a sports tourer bike that can drive on types of terrain with ease and unmatched performance. The motorcycle is powered by a 600cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, the inline-4 engine that generates a maximum power of 82bhp at 11,000rpm and a peak torque of 55Nm at 8,000rpm. As the bike is made to be driven on all types of terrain, the bike is built on a front steel trellis and rear aluminium alloy casting chassis which is light weighted but offer high durability. The impressive front profile of the bike looks extraordinary with headlight section and projector light. The semi fairing of the machine is subtle and electrifying which makes the aesthetics of the bike look more effective. The maker has also blessed this machine with a highly advanced instrument cluster that displays digital speedometer, clock, fuel level, odometer, temperature and analogue tachometer.

Benelli is one of the oldest bike makers in the world, but still, there are very few Benelli superbikes in India; it is believed that Benelli bikes are not ideal for the Indian roads. For this, the maker has to make the new Benelli superbike models in such a way that it offers seamless performance on the Indian roads.
